Even though the weather was less than spectacular, the Foxwood Potluck Picnic braved on to deliver a fun time to the residents who attended.
Partially moved into the carriage house, the attendees and organizers didn’t let the rainy weather dampen their spirits, as burgers and hot dogs cooked on the grill and the dessert table held strong under the awning of the carriage house. The duck race, always a popular event, was held in a torrential downpour as live reports were sent in to the guests inside the carriage house of the outside action.

On June 11, Foxwood Condominium will once again host a Pot Luck Picnic poolside at 100 Foxwood Lane.
The event will begin at 4 P.M. and will last until 8 P.M. Tickets are $5 and will be sold around the complex by our volunteers, so if you do not get a knock on your door in the upcoming weeks there will be designated ticket areas. We kindly request you to please bring your favorite side dish, salad or dessert to accompany hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers cooking on the grills.
Those who have attended picnics in previous years know that the event is a great way to meet your neighbors, lounge by the pool and feast on the gigantic amount of dishes and desserts provided by our guests.
A raffle will be held for ticket holders and for the second event in a row, the ultra competitive, winner take all Foxwood Duck Race will be held in the pool! For $2 a duck (3 ducks for $5 for those who want to up their odds), you will have the chance to win a grand prize if your duck can make it from one end of the pool to the other. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Milford Animal Shelter, so for the simple purchase of a rubber duck, you can donate to a good cause while also participating in what many media outlets called “the most competitive rubber duck in a pool race in the east coast.” Click HERE for photos and a write up on 2009’s picnic!
You must be a Foxwood resident to attend the picnic. No alcohol will be allowed, and if the rain arrives unexpectedly, the make up date is Sunday, June 12. See you there!
